Hydraulic Cylinders

Hydraulic cylinders consist of a cylindrical barrel or tube, a piston, a piston rod, seals, and ports for hydraulic fluid. The cylinder barrel houses the piston, which divides the cylinder into two chambers: the rod side and the cap side.

The piston rod extends from the piston and protrudes from one end of the cylinder to transmit force. Seals are used to prevent hydraulic fluid leakage and maintain pressure within the cylinder.
